M-TEC Engineering, located in Swanlinbar will today launch a new production line which will bring a significant boost to the local job market in rural Cavan, with the creation of 10 new jobs.
A family run business based in the rural village of Swanlinbar, M-TEC Engineering is a leading manufacturer of high-quality trailers in Ireland.
With their recent award at the National Ploughing Championships, Managing Director Adrian Malanaphy believes that the success of the business in the last three years and the launch of 'Livestock Trailers' has increased demand significantly, giving the local business "confidence" to invest in its growth.
Speaking to Northern Sound, his daughter Therese who is also part of the M-Tek Engineering team, said today's launch is a "significant milestone" in terms of what the company has achieved since its inception.
In relation to the announcement of ten new jobs at the firm, Therese believes this will benefit the community of Swanlinbar as a whole.
"Our dad is at the forefront of the business with us," Therese explained. "He had a mushroom farm for 26 years in Swanlinbar and employed a number of staff and he's always had an invested interest in promoting jobs and employment in rural Ireland and I guess that has followed through the generations with myself and my siblings. We're absolutely delighted to be offering more jobs to the area as Swanlinbar is close to all of our hearts."
