A fundraiser for a local diving group who recovered the body of a Crossmaglen teenager has raised almost £20,000. 17 year old Lochlann Murray lost his life when he fell from the Cliffs of Moher earlier this month. Members of the Rockcorry Divers travelled from Monaghan to recover Lochlann and return him to his family. As a result of their efforts, a fundraiser was set up by family members for the Rockcorry divers to thank them.
So far, it has raised over £18,000, with a target of £20,000 listed. The family say every penny will be donated to Rockcorry Divers and North West Search and Recovery. It's understood the money will be used to purchase a new boat which will be named in memory of Lochlann Murray.
