Childcare providers from across the country will take to Dublin this month to protest.
From the 26th to 28th September, creches nationwide will shut their doors and march on Leinster House.
The main issues concern funding and staff retention - leading to a shortage of spaces and many facilities closing down.
Paula Donoghue runs Clever Clogs creche in Ballyconnell, County Cavan - she says she doesn’t want to protest, but will go to Dublin as a last resort.
My stance is that I would hope the government is listening and hearing and will call stakeholders to the table straight away and put measures in place. The government need to step in here because the children and parents are the ones that are suffering by these closures.
