There was success across the Northern Sound region in last night's Excellence in Local Government Awards, with Monaghan County Council scooping three prizes.
The awards highlight the positive impact of local government across Ireland and 17 prizes were up for grabs.
Monaghan County Council picked up three national awards, including the "Supporting Tourism" award for the Patrick Kavanagh Centre and the branded Kavanagh Trail, and "Festival of the Year" for the Cavan Monaghan Online Science Festival 2020.
The Local Authority also won in the "Disability Services Provision" category for the "My Right to Vote" initiative.
Meanwhile, Cavan County Council won the top honour in the "Commemorations & Centenaries" category for its "Bringing History to Life Despite the Odds" project.
