Local County Councils have been nominated for 14 honours in the Local Government Awards.
Monaghan County Council leads the way locally, with 11 programmes receiving nominations.
The Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards works to highlight the positive impact that local councils have in Ireland.
In total, 90 projects from 20 county councils are shortlisted in 16 categories.
Monaghan County Council is shortlisted for 11 projects, including for the War of Independence events, and the "It's good to talk GAA" Age Friendly initiative.
Cavan County Council has three nominations for it's Covid-19 Book Delivery Service, Cavan Day 2020 and Bringing History to Life.
The awards ceremony will take place on November 18th.
