A local councillor is warning amenities could be lost following vandalism in Carrickmacross over the weekend.
The support rail in the public toilets at the Cloughvalley Playpark was ripped from the wall on Sunday.
Sinn Fein Councillor for the area Colm Carthy has said that this is unacceptable and recalled that it followed a number of instances, in recent weeks, of vandalism across the Carrickmacross/Castleblayney MD.
He has stated he is concerned such acts could lead to amenities such as - playparks, public toilets, and buildings either closed or removed as they become too difficult or expensive to maintain due to damage.
