A local councillor says there needs to be a 'war on litterers' across the region.
This comes following another incident of illegal dumping in Cluain Mullach estate in Mullagh last night.
Independent councillor in Cavan Shane P. O'Reilly says this is a nationwide problem in addition to issues with an increase in the amount of dog fouling being left on paths and green areas in the county.
He wants to see greater funding provided to county councils by the government to tackle the issue through the implementation of cctv and more litter wardens.
