A local Councillor is calling on pedestrians to make sure they wear a hi-vis at all times.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly said that people of all ages need to be visible at all times especially at this time of the year. He says he has noticed a lot of secondary school students on way to school in very dark clothing.
The independent Councillor says people need to be seen especially with inclement weather along with dark mornings and evenings at this time of the year. Cllr Trevor Smith said that teenagers believe that wearing a hi-vis is not trendy or cool.
Cllr O'Reilly says that people can't be making excuses when it comes to this very important safety measure.
