Local councillor 'deeply concerned' over new SPHE curriculum

A local councillor is 'deeply concerned' over the new SPHE curriculum that is being proposed.

Cllr Shane P O'Reilly who is also a candidate in the upcoming General Election asked the question can we not let children to be children?

The Mullagh native says that he now understands that a review into these new proposals are underway with some kind of 'row back' from the Minister of Education. Minister Norma Foley has previously said the SPHE programme was designed following extensive public consultation and is "a reflection of the times."

Cllr O'Reilly says its down right pornography and this should not be allowed be taught in the classroom at this level. Cllr O'Reilly who is a father of five says its not right and it should not be accepted.
