A Cavan councillor has called for improved road signage to be introduced in order to improve driver safety.
When highlighting the issue at this week's meeting of the Cavan-Belturbet Municipal District, Cllr Peter McVitty made particular reference to the Marsh Road and Kilnagher junction.
With calls for an update to warnings signs, Cllr McVitty said he was "terrified" that actions would not be taken until a serious accident occurs.
As a result, the local councillor is now calling for "flashing" warning signs to be installed temporarily until surface repairs and other roadworks
are completed on both roads.
