A Cavan Councillor says better access roads and parking must be provided on the Cavan side of Cuilcagh mountain at Glan Gap.
Fianna Fáil's John Paul Feely said there are problems with parking at the site and that some people have arrived at private property due to a lack of parking and issues with directions on google maps.
He told a recent Cavan-Belturbet MD meeting that we need to accept that people will visit the mountain and that the Council should work to capitalise on the potential tourism benefits.
He said better access roads and parking would allow visitors to come in a safe way that preserves the environment.
