€5,000 has been awarded by the Kepak Group based in Co Monaghan to Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes.
The free, voluntary service collects and transports life-saving blood, blood products, infant milk and human tissue to hospitals in the north-east of Ireland.
The donation, which was funded by the Kepak Community Fund, will allow the charity to continue the vital work it does throughout counties Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Meath and Louth.
Site Manager at Kepak Ballybay, Matt Molloy, praised the work of Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes.
He added that the local business "fully appreciates" the hard work and life-saving service that Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes provides across Monaghan, Louth, Cavan, Leitrim, Meath and beyond.
