Local communities have hit out at recent dumping in rural parts of Cavan and Monaghan.
Over the weekend, a suite of furniture and farm packaging was left near a quarry hole on Bragan Mountain in Monaghan.
While dog food tins and more furniture were found yesterday morning near Kildallan in west Cavan.
Cavan County Council says arrangements have been made to remove the waste, and an investigation into where it came from will begin.
In posts on social media, local people have criticised those behind the dumping and the local authorities have asked that any who witnesses illegal dumping to contact them.
