Local commercial vacancy rates lower than national average

According to the report the commercial vacancy rate in Ireland hit a ten year high of 14.0%.

Cavan's commercial vacancy rate is lower than the national average of 14.0% at 12.6%.

The commercial vacancy rate in Monaghan increased by 0.1 percentage points to 13.7% during 2022.

Thats according to a new national report. Of the towns in Cavan surveyed, Cootehill had the highest commercial rate at 23.6%, while Cavan Town had the lowest rate at 15.8%.

The commercial vacancy rate in Cavan decreased by 0.6 percentage points to 12.6% in the twelve months to the end of 2022 according to the latest GeoDirectory Commercial Vacancy Rates Report, published in recent days. While in Monaghan the report found of the towns surveyed, Monaghan Town had the highest commercial rate at 21.9%, while Carrickmacross had the lowest rate at 13.1%.

According to the report the commercial vacancy rate in Ireland hit a ten year high of 14.0%, the highest level recorded by GeoDirectory since the report began in 2013. The report, prepared by EY, found that commercial vacancies increased in 18 out of 26 counties.
