Local commercial vacancy rate remains relatively unchanged

The latest report by Geodirectory showed the vacancy rate for commercial properties in Monaghan increased by 0.6% to 14.6%.

Commercial vacancy rates in the Northern Sound region remained relatively unchanged in quarter 2 of this year.

The latest report by Geodirectory showed the vacancy rate for commercial properties in Monaghan increased by 0.6% to 14.6%.

While in Cavan, the rate dropped marginally by 0.1% to 12.5%. Sligo had the highest vacancy rate while Meath had the lowest at 9.8%, followed by Wexford at 10.6% and Cork at 12.4% Of the main towns and urban areas in Monaghan surveyed by GeoDirectory, Castleblayney had the highest commercial vacancy rate at 23.9%, while Carrickmacross had the lowest at 19.1%.

While in Cavan, Cootehill had the highest commercial vacancy rate at 22.2%, while Bailieborough had the lowest at 14.4%.
