Monaghan County Council is inviting the children and young people living in and around the Corrybrennan Park and Culbrennan estate areas to come out and have their say on the design of a brand new recreational amenity for the two estates.
The consultation will take place at the current playground this Saturday the 11th of February between 11am and 2pm. A play facilitator will help the children to express their ideas and construct models of their ideal playground and those ideas will be subsequently worked into the final design.
€200,000 in funding for the project has been accessed from the Government's 2022 Town & Village Renewal programme while the Ballybay Clones Municipal District provided a further €15,000. Refreshments will be provided on the day to keep the children going, and a heated marquee will be provided on site to ensure that the event is weather-proof.
