Cavan-Monaghan TD Pauline Tully has questioned the lack of funding given to disability services in this year's budget in the Dáil.
The Sinn Féin TD was speaking in the chamber ahead of her party's motion which called on government to revisit the finance package afforded to disability groups.
Pauline Tully called for more funding for organisations dealing with the rise in inflation, and new legislative pressures like an extra bank holiday and the rise in minimum wage.
The Sinn Féin spokesperson on disability also said organisations had, for years, been asking for multi-annual budgets which would allow them to plan ahead and for capital funding to upgrade their buildings.
She told the Minister of State Anne Rabbitte: "I think if you and Minister O'Gorman were honest, you'd agree there's not enough funding for disability services in budget '24"..
The Deputy put pressure on the department to deliver an action plan.
"The disability action plan is 18 months overdue," Ms Tully said to Anne Rabbitte, "the disability road map is going to be published next week.
"With due respect you said that in May and it wasn't and we're now in October," she added.
