A local businessman is leading a fundraising effort in aid of families who have been affected by the recent Beirut blast.
An explosion at a portside warehouse last month caused widespread damage in the Lebanese capital, with more than 190 fatalities.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched after a huge fire broke out yesterday in an aid agency warehouse in the same port.
Dessie Duffy, part-owner of Alpha Storage in Cavan, is raising funds as well as seeking medical, hardware, and electrical supplies for those affected by the blast.
