A Monaghan blood donor is urging people to help reduce supply shortages.
The Covid pandemic and seasonal flu have caused the numbers of people who are attending blood donation clinics to drop which has caused issues in recent weeks.
Alo Duffy from Ballybay has been a donor for 45 years and donated over 100 units and says it is one of the most selfless acts a person can do.
