The taking in charge of three housing estates in Mullagh has been welcomed by local councillor Shane P O' Reilly. Cllr O'Reilly said following extensive work and going through the different legal requirements, he was very happy to propose the motion at a recent Ballyjamesduff Municipal District Committee meeting.
Cavan County Council will now be responsible for roads, footpaths, public lighting, and storm drains.
While Irish Water will be responsible for foul lines and pumping stations for Killian's Court, Ardlo Manor and Curragh Manor.
Cllr Shane P'O Reilly said he wanted to thank the residents of these estates for their patience and help and especially to Pat Gaynor, Cavan County Council for his amazing work.
The Mullagh councillor added that there are many other estates in the pipeline and that the local authority will get to them as soon as possible.
