Applications are opened for funding by the HSE locally for the improvement of people's mental health in the community.
HSE Cavan Monaghan Mental Health Service and HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention are seeking applications for once off funding.
Amounts of between €4,000 and a maximum of €8,000 from local community and voluntary groups is available.
This funding is aimed at initiatives to reach at risk or vulnerable groups in relation to improving their mental health and wellbeing.
The initiatives are aimed at reducing the risk of self-harm and suicide.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 21st April 2023 and information can be got online at www.HSE.ie/connecting for life
There are also places remaining on a number of upcoming suicide prevention awareness workshops. This includes the one day suicide bereavement training for professionals in the Errigal Hotel, Cootehill next Wednesday, the 22nd March.
