Cllr TP O'Reilly has hailed the community spirit of the people of Cavan.

As the Storm Éowyn clean-up continues, Cavan County Council is working with local partners through the Cavan Community Forum to put in place local community hubs where those affected by power cuts and water outages can come and avail of facilities such as charging, heat, and tea/coffee.

The hubs across Cavan are in the following locations: Kinawley Community Hall Association (9am-1pm and 7pm to 10pm)- charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, Kingscourt Community Centre (9am-10pm)- charging facilities, boiling water, Kingspan Breffni Park- hot water/showers, charging facilities, boiling water, wifi, Le Cheile Cootehill- charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, hotdesk facilities available between 3pm and 7pm, contact 0874181328), Market House Blacklion (9am-5pm): charging facilities, boiling water, Ramor United: hot water/showers, charging facilities, boiling water.

Teach Oscail Family Resource Centre, Cavan (8am to 8pm)- charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, toilets, wifi, Hall Ballyconnell (12:30pm-4:30pm): charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, Tullacmongan Resource Centre (9am-5pm, ring side buzzer): charging facilities, boiling water, Tullyvin Community Centre (9am-5pm): charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, Virginia Show Centre (9:30am-9pm): charging facilities, tea/coffee, boiling water, wifi, Cornafean GAA (from 10am): Charging facilities, boiling water, toilets.

Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr TP O'Reilly has hailed the community spirit of the people of Cavan in dealing with the aftermath of this historic storm. The local councillor said it's great that people have put their shoulders to the wheel in coming to the assistance of others.
