A Co Monaghan student has turned her passion for helping others into a project entry for the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition. 17-year-old Cliodhna Ward is a first responder within her community and is also part of the senior panel for Aughnamullen GAA. Combining her love for the GAA and saving lives, Cliodhna created the '30 seconds of your time campaign'.
After making contact with the GAA, Cliodhna is now "hopeful" that emails will be sent to all clubs in Ireland in a bid to increase awareness and help people register their AEDs. Speaking to Northern Sound, the Our Lady's Castleblayney student said she has witnessed first-hand the positive effects of AEDs and how can they can increase a person's survival rate.
