Leak reduction works in Cavan Town until late spring

Uisce Éireann crews have begun work to remove old water pipes and replace them with new ones in Cavan Town.

The section of works will run along the R212 College Street and the R198 Railway Road, with project crews carrying out a chunk of the work at night. The works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

Areas of work will be limited to short sections and the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum of 48 hours' notice prior to any planned interruptions. A contractor is carrying out the works on behalf of Uisce Éireann which are expected to be completed by late Spring.
