Monaghan Integrated Development are hosting a number of information events in the coming weeks in relation to the 2023-2027 LEADER programme. The LEADER programme can help business, community groups and environmental groups with support and funding to complete projects.
One of the key strengths of LEADER is the support or capacity building that we offer to applicants to access the financial support. A number of information events will take place across Co Monaghan in the coming weeks. An event will take place tonight, Thursday the 3rd of October at the Workhouse in Carrickmacross from 7pm - 8pm.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Marianne McEneaney of Monaghan Integrated Development highlighted the importance of this event and how people can get involved. "We would encourage everyone to get in contact," Marianne explained. "We've three development staff who are working as part of the programme, and that's our job to work with people out there, to explain things and to try alleviate as much paperwork and fear as we can. Sometimes it is the fear of the unknown that puts people off. There is a certain amount of work to do when applying for funding but getting the funding and being able to develop that community facility, business, or environmental project makes it all worth while."
