Late night fire causes extensive damage in Co Cavan

A late night fire has caused extensive damage to a commercial premises at New Inns, Ballyjamesduff. Several fire crews from Cavan Town, Virginia and Ballyjamesduff tackled the blaze and brought the fire under control in the early hours of this morning. The commercial units are located along the N3 and for a number of hours smoke could been seen billowing out on to busy road. The road remained open at all times as motorists approached with extreme caution. It’s not known what caused the fire at this time and it’s understood no was injured as result of this major fire.
