A kitten has been rehomed after a miracle rescue from the Cavan River.
Marmalade was stranded in the water early on Wednesday morning, when the staff of the local SVP heard his cry.
They enlisted the help of Caroline van den Burg from the nearby Wild Wardrobe charity shop to rescue him from the river and bring him back to health.
Marmalade has since been rehomed with a family that had previously been feeding him and a number of other stray cats.
Speaking on The Wider View, Caroline said the kitten was shaken but otherwise fine.
