Cavan-based Kingspan has announced a five-year partnership with humanitarian aid agency GOAL.
A new wing at an important hospital in Honduras will be the first joint-project to come from the partnership.
This scheme will be implemented by GOAL's humanitarian support staff on the ground, using Kingspan's products and systems to build a 24-bed ward for general care in the hospital.
The new extension will provide the hospital with increased capacity to provide critical care for a community that has been greatly affected by Covid-19, and will be named in memory of Sayri Molina, a GOAL employee who lost her life to covid.
The partnership with GOAL is the flagship project in Kingspan's new Planet Passionate Communities programme.
Kingspan's Chief Executive, Gene Murtagh, says the company is "determined to use our expertise to create positive impacts around the world".
