Confirmations in the Kilmore Diocese are to resume this month.
It's the latest diocese to announce that the sacrament celebration will be going ahead despite public health advice.
The current government public health advice is that Communions and Confirmations should not take place - with no timeline for when they will return.
The Bishop of Elphin Kevin Doran was the first to say he would facilitate the celebration of Communion and Confirmation, as the guidelines aren't enforceable by law.
He has since been followed by the Bishop of Raphoe and the Bishop of Waterford and Lismore.
In the Meath diocese, which covers the Kingscourt area, Bishop Tom Deenihan told priests to make arrangements for Confirmations to go ahead.
The Diocese of Kilmore confirmed to Northern Sound News that Confirmation may be celebrated from mid-August, with Holy Communion delayed until mid-September when primary schools have returned.
Bishop Martin Hayes said the decision came "upon consideration of the importance of the celebration" for the children of the parishes.
Meanwhile Bishop of Clogher Larry Duffy said both Confirmations and Communions will recommence in Republic of Ireland parishes from August 20th.
He said protocol will be in place, with advice for families to follow public health advice following the church celebration.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Fr Tony Flannery from the Association of Catholic Priests said said the move could bring some unwanted support.
He said Kilmore and Clogher had additional complications because they reach across the border.
