A documentary about the death of Kelly Lynch in Monaghan Town examines the garda investigation which followed the discovery of her body on St Patrick's Day. Kelly: The Body Below the Bridge was aired on BBC 1 Northern Ireland last night and highlights flaws in the original garda investigation into her death.
Kelly's parents, Sean and Julieanne Lynch, who are originally from Lisnakea, Co. Fermanagh were interviewed extensively for the programme about their daughter's untimely death at the age of just 23.
Last month, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris ordered a peer review in to the garda investigation, which is still active and ongoing. In the programme, which is being aired again tonight on BBC 2 at 10pm, Kelly's parents said they have so many unanswered questions they want to put to local gardaí:
