The Monaghan native said not seeing or hearing from her two boys for up on two years has been worse than any possible nightmare.

There is progress at last for a Monaghan woman living a nightmare after her sons were abducted by their father.

European arrest warrants are to be issued for a father who kidnapped two of his children.

Monaghan native Mandy Kelly hasn't seen her two sons, five year old Zayn Mohamed, and three year old Kareem since April 2022 after their father refused to return them to her while on a family holiday.

Mandy received correspondence yesterday from the Department of Justice telling her that Minister Helen McEntee will now meet with her on April 12th to discuss the case. She has been calling for this meeting for a long period of time and made an appeal in recent weeks on this station pleading for the Justice minister Helen McEntee to help her get her children back.

The Monaghan native said not seeing or hearing from her two boys for up on two years has been worse than any possible nightmare could be. The Monaghan mum made this appeal last month on the wider view programme.
