Justice minister admits level of domestic abuse has tripled

Justice Minister Helen McEntee has admitted the level of domestic abuse has tripled in the last 10 years.
The number of incidents reported last year stood at over 46 and a half thousand, compared with just over 14 thousand in 2014.

128 gardai are called out to domestic violence incidents every day, with the majority of abuse being carried out against women.
Aontú Leader and Meath West TD Peadar Tóibín says resources for interventions are not there.
