A former contestant on Operation Transformation has said she was saddened to hear last week that the popular RTE show has come to an end.
Susuana Komolafe from Cavan says being involved in the TV show offered her a wonderful opportunity. She says it played a very positive part in her life adding that the support she received from people across Cavan at the time was amazing.
Susuana is originally from Lagos in Nigeria and moved to Ireland with her son and daughter over 20 years ago. She has lived in Cavan for 15 years and has now put her name down to contest the local election in the Cavan Belturbet Lea. The independent candidate said she would like to bring some fun to the council chambers if she was elected and be a voice for women.
Susuana says looking back on her time on Operation Transformation, it was certainly a positive and fulfilling time for her.
