Irish men are being urged to re-think their drinking.
Figures show that 670 men are diagnosed with alcohol attributable cancers each year, while drink is also a factor in one in four deaths of young men aged 15-39.
Men are also far more likely than women to engage in risk-taking behaviour after drinking alcohol.
As part of Men’s Health Week Alcohol Action Ireland is urging men to rethink their drinking and consider the harm they may be doing to themselves, and others.
