Gardaí were made aware of a threat relating to Cavan General Hospital yesterday morning, Tuesday the 22nd of October.
An Garda Síochána, in conjunction with the H.S.E. (Cavan General Hospital), immediately put in place enhanced security measures at that facility as a precautionary measure.
Following further enquiries, the alleged threat has been deemed not to be credible and the enhanced security arrangements in place have been stood down as of 12 noon today.

The criminal investigation of this matter is ongoing at this time.
