A multi-agency investigation is underway into potential fraud in planning applications for poultry farms in the North.
Noteworthy, the investigative platform from The Journal, has revealed cases of falsified EPA letters and the names of farmers in the Republic being used without permission on litter contracts.
Co Monaghan has the highest concentration of poultry farms in Ireland and County Councils have raised concern about the monitoring and enforcement of where litter from Northern Irish farms is going.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Niall Sargent, who published the report on the potentially fraudulent planning applications, says there is a "feeling" within Monaghan County Council that there is a "lack of robust data-sharing between agencies":
