An investigation is underway into a serious sexually motivated attack in Derry.
A woman had to fight off her attacker on the outskirts of the city on Friday.
This attack happened in Drumahoe when a woman in her 20s was walking in Drumahoe Park at around 10 o'clock on Friday night.
A man approached her from behind, punched her to the side of the head, pulled her into nearby trees and pushed her to the ground at knifepoint.
She struggled with her attacker, managed to strike him in the face a number of times with her torch before she was able to break free and run for help.
Police in the North immediately responded and searched for the attacker, who ran away from the scene.
They're appealing to anyone who was in the park that night and who saw anything that could help the investigation to get in touch.
