Interpol has issued a yellow notice for a Monaghan woman’s two missing sons.
Six year old Zayn and 4 year old Kareem Mohamed, were both taken by their father in March 2022 during a family holiday in Cairo.
In August this year, their mother Mandy Kelly, a Monaghan native, was given full custody of her children in a landmark case while a police search began in Eygpt as the children and their father had gone missing.
Mandy have been over and back to regain her children and have them back in Ireland with her. It’s understood that she is flying once again today to Cairo for another court hearing.
A yellow notice has now been activated by Interpol - they are issued to help locate missing people, mostly children.
Ms Kelly has told Northern Sound on a number of occasions she won’t stop her campaign until she has both her boys back in her arms.
She has long campaigned the Irish government and others that may possibly apply pressure to assist her in her return of her two boys. This will be the third Christmas without her two children and over 1000 days since she last spoke or seen or two Irish born children.
