An amateur drama group in Cootehill is debuting its innovative new play tonight.
Although recorded over zoom as a result of Level 5 restrictions, "The Pilgrims of Slieve" promises "complete escapism that has no reference to zoom or the pandemic".
With the support of Cavan Arts and of director and playwright Declan Gorman, Aisteoiri Muinchille were able to create the play which is based in the fictional town of Slieve.
And while the town is fictional, the play touches on themes that you would find in any town in modern Ireland.
The play will have its international debut tonight and will be available online until the second of April.
