Gardaí have confirmed they're investigating the death of a Monaghan man in Louth on Saturday.
Peter Fitzsimons, who was in his 60s, died when he fell from the roof of a shed on Saturday evening.
Mr Fitzsimons, from Inniskeen in Co Monaghan, was working on the roof of a shed at Louth House in Louth village at around 6 o'clock on Saturday evening.
He was fatally injured when he fell from the roof.
His body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for a post mortem examination.
A spokesperson for the Gardaí confirmed they are investigating the circumstances of Mr Fitzsimons' death and the Health and Safety Authority has been notified.
