The INMO has warned hospitals will come under increasing pressure as they start dealing with more non-Covid related cases.
It comes as a HSE report showed Cavan and Mullingar hospitals were among three across the country with no vacant critical or general care beds on Monday evening.
However, both hospitals yesterday saw an improvement with eight beds available in Cavan and four in Mullingar.
The Union’s Industrial Relations Manager Tony Fitzpatrick has warned the HSE it needs to increase bed capacity and hire more staff to prepare hospitals for an increased number of patients.
