There is an increase in men who suffer from eating disorders.
That's according to Ellen Jennings of BodyWhys, an organisation which offers help and support to those who are struggling with an eating disorder.
She says the national organisation has seen an increase of men with eating disorders, particularly over last two years since start of pandemic.
While Ellen claims that men in particular find it "quite difficult" to speak out about their bodies, a new men-only support service has been set up by the organisation to help deal with the surge.
The BodyWhys representative said there is a stigma attached to eating disorders, adding that it is seen by society as a "female issue" which makes it difficult for men to open up.
