The IFA is questioning the legality of information being shared with local farmers through TB letters.
In the past week, farmers across the country have been receiving the letters from the Department of Agriculture, which contains an individual TB herd risk rating and advice on reducing the spread.
However, there are concerns that the inclusion of the current status of herds a farmer previously bought from is a breach of data protection.
Speaking to Northern Sound News, IFA Animal Health Chairman Pat Farrell said the Department of Agriculture must take meaningful action.
