Protests outside Aldi and Lidl stores in Cavan town by IFA members are continuing this morning as producers seek a 2c increase per egg.
Reports over the weekend indicate that supplies on all supermarkets shelves in Cavan town are very low as farmers block deliveries to the stores.
Meanwhile, IFA's regional chairman, Frank Brady says farmers are staying outside the supermarkets until real changes are made.
Speaking to Northern Sound this morning he called for increases in the prices paid for products.
He added the protest is now one of the longest protests in the history of the organisation after farmers took their stance last Wednesday morning.
