The IFA President has accused two leading supermarket chains of "misleading" consumers regarding the branding of its milk products.
Tim Cullinan says Aldi and Lidl are using fictitious names on some of its milk to "mislead consumers with a local sounding dairy".
In a statement to the Irish Farmers Journal, Aldi said the majority of its milk is processed in Ireland and highlighted its "long-standing relationships" with Irish processors, such as Lakeland Dairies.
However, Mr Cullinan said the "record needs to be set straight" on where the milk is coming from, and added that the name of the processor should be put on the label.
