The local IFA Regional Chair is calling for a critical review of Ireland's TB Eradication programme.
Nigel Renaghan has questioned how the scheme can be operational for decades but still not have TB under control.
The programme has come under scrutiny after the Department of Agriculture sent out "blacklisting" Herd Risk letters to farmers, informing them of their liability to contracting the disease.
The decision by Minister Charlie McConalogue to reconvene the TB Forum has been welcomed, however he's been told to "get a grip of the situation" and end "pointless meetings".
Speaking after destroying TB letters outside the Department of Agriculture office in Cavan town, Nigel Renaghan said questions need to be answered.
