Cavan County Council and Cavan County Local Development are inviting Expressions of Interest for project proposals under Measure 1 of the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme. The fund supports the provision of recreational amenities located near rivers, lakes and beaches, and also seeks to support recreational infrastructure that provides an inclusive approach for communities.
Projects that will be considered for funding include walking, mountain biking, orienteering, canoeing, rowing, forest walks, mountain access routes, trail access to bird watching locations, floating boardwalks on lakes/ bogs, and natural play areas.
Measure 1 of the scheme also provides funding for Small Scale Repair, development, promotion and Marketing with a maximum grant of €30,000 available. The Scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
