Hundreds of people have gathered in Ballinamore today to pay a special tribute to the two men killed during the Don Tidey kidnap.
Private Patrick Kelly and Garda Recruit Gary Sheehan were shot dead by the IRA, this day 41 years ago in Drumcornan Wood.
It was during the rescue of the Quinnsworth managing director. A memorial Mass took place in St Patrick's Church this morning, and Garda Commissioner Drew Harris is set to unveil a monument, in Kelly and Sheehan's honour.
