IFA's poultry chairman and Carrickmacross farmer, Andy Boylan says there is huge concern over the outbreak of avian influenza in a turkey flock in Co Monaghan over the weekend.
Mr Boylan who was speaking on Let's Talk this afternoon said that while there had been problems with wild birds carrying the disease across the country in recent weeks, the outbreak locally has left a lot of people very concerned indeed.
He says it is a problem that has been looming for a while, and now it has arrived.
