Hudsons' Funfair is set to return to Carrickmacross over the St Patrick's Day celebrations for the first time since the covid19-pandemic began.
The funfair, which requires the use of the Drummond Etra car park, will run from Wednesday the 16th of March to Sunday the 20th of March, between the hours of 1 and 10 pm.
The Carrickmacross Festival will also return to the town over the June Bank Holiday.
Colm Carthy said it's great to see the return of these events and a return to normality.
While he warned that the pandemic isn't over, he added that there is "palpable excitement" about the return of these events to Carrickmacross.
Meanwhile, PJ O'Hanlon proposed that a letter of appreciation be sent to the Carrickmacross Festival team for the work they do.
